The CBR 33th Steering Committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of H.E Eklil Hakimi the Finance Minister of Afghanistan, today. The meeting was attended by the program Steering Committee’s members – the recruitment process progress report was presented and a review on the administrations quotas under CBR Program was approved.

Dr. Najibullah Wardak, CBR Program Director at the Ministry of Finance presented the recruitment process progress report and stated that, in the past fiscal year the recruitment of 819 individuals was finalized – leading CBR to achieve its target which was recruitment for 800 positions. He also added that, the CBR Program’s resources are scarce towards the administrations demands, hence only key positions should be selected under the CBR Program. Moreover, H.E Eklil Hakimi the Finance Minister of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appreciated the efforts of the CBR program members and stated that, this would not be possible without effective and tireless efforts of the CBR working group members. Also, in relation to the administrations quotas revision in the CBR program, the Steering Committee members passed the decision on the recruitment of 1500 individuals which will be specified based on the administrations.

According to the Steering Committee’s call, the administrations with tangible results in reforms area will be given more quotas while those with fewer achievements will get less.
